Maplecrest
Software
announced that it will shortly begin shipments of DocPrep
Studio 3.0, a client-server application that aims
to automate the assembly of transaction documents.

It uses sophisticated
document library services and a rules-based engine so that documents can be
automatically composed and individually personalized.

DocPrep Studio supports all the leading word processors and forms
packages, as well as providing output support for nearly all types of printer
and Adobe PDF. It offers a high level of security for document access.

“By delivering customized documents over the Internet, this
release of DocPrep Studio represents a major step forward in the automation
of transaction-driven document assembly,” said Clemens Taeuber, vice
president of product development for Maplecrest Software.

The vendor said that DocPrep Studio enables all communication with the
customer, “from financial documents to marketing materials,” to be assembled
dynamically–with the result that the customer’s experience of each
transaction is “personal and unique.”
