Austin, Texas-based
Simplified, which describes
itself as “the world’s first and only e-telco solutions company,”
has opened in the UK.

Simplified’s new office, its first outside the United States, is
located in Berkshire. Other overseas offices are planned for
Asia before the end of 1999, says the company.

“Our customers kept requesting that Simplified provide e-telco
solutions in Europe,” said Jon Garfield, Simplified’s chief
financial officer. “It’s a natural expansion for us with a
tremendous amount of opportunity.”

Heading up operations in the UK will be RuthAnne Heskin, a
telecoms professional with special expertise in Valued Added
Services and emerging technologies. Previously, she was
managing director of Summa Four’s European, Middle East and
African operations.

“Simplified has the only true e-telco solution because we
empower switches with virtually everything a carrier requires
to be a leader in the industry,” commented RuthAnne Heskin.

“No other company delivers ‘e-telco in a box’ — Web-enabled
billing, real-time customer service capabilities, advanced
multiple SS7 stacks, prepaid, calling card, O+ and 1+ and
so much more.”

Initial response in the UK has been “overwhelmingly positive,”
according to Heskin.
