[Toronto, CANADA] Ernst & Young has unveiled a new service to connect
with clients seeking tax advice with the launch of EY Online Advisor
in Canada.
EY Online Advisor is a service for clients looking for answers to
relatively straightforward tax questions.
For a capped fee, an Ernst & Young subject-matter specialist
researches, analyzes, and prepares a written response to tax
questions submitted in a secure environment over the Internet.
There are two tiers of response — standard service of three to four
business days or express service of one or two days.
EY Online Advisor is Ernst & Young’s response to a steadily
increasing demand from business to provide speed-to-market on a
global basis.
“EY Online Advisor is one of the strongest examples of where
Ernst & Young is heading as a professional services firm,” said Michel
Lanteigne, Managing Partner, Tax.
“Ernst & Young is recognized as the top professional services firm in
Canada for tax advisory services. EY Online Advisor is a natural
extension of our reputation for delivering fast, efficient and, above
all, leading tax advice.”
The project began as an internal system in June. “Now clients will
have access to Ernst & Young’s top tax specialists at the click of a
mouse,” said Linda Hyatt, Project Director.
EY Online Advisor is a global initiative of Ernst & Young. Canadian
clients can receive online tax advice not only from Canadian tax
specialists but also from tax specialists in 11 other countries
around the world.
