Com21 has opened a
European sales headquarters in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, and said
that sales of cable modems in Europe are growing at a fast rate.
New business with companies such as Spain’s Cable i Televisio de Catalunya and
France’s France Telecom is helping to make Com21 the top cable modem
supplier in Europe.
“The opening of our sales and support operations in Europe is an exciting step for Com21
in what represents a crucial marketplace for us,” said Pete Fenner, president and CEO of Com21. “Industry analysts are projecting the European cable modem market to grow in excess of
100 percent per year, and Com21 is determined to help drive the market
forward with superior products and service.”
Com21 began operations in Europe in early 1996, selling through
systems integrators such as Philips Broadband Networks, Eindhoven,

Its worldwide market share is 9.2 million HHP.
