LONDON — Already established across the US and Europe with companies such as Nortel, Nokia, and Viacom Productions, the Broadband Content Delivery Forum (BCD) hopes to extend its operations further and in doing so help “unite the content delivery industry worldwide.”

The European Group is currently seeking membership from companies interested in collaborating on the infrastructure, content, applications and market development for European broadband content delivery.

Companies that become members will be informed of and invited to regional networking meetings, and under the forum’s banner, will also be eligible to talk and present at relevant sector events.

Peter Neiken, who is acting as the BCD Forum European Group chairman, is currently the business manager for Nokia Home Communications, he said: “My vision is that the BCD Forum European Group will emerge to be a significant player in the discussion of key topics and issues that are unique in the European market. Nokia is particularly pleased to be a part of this organisation.”
