[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] Excite@Home has secured a multiple platform content and sponsorship alliance with the international online financial services firm, TD Waterhouse Investor Services, a subsidiary of TD Waterhouse Group.
The alliance will see TD Waterhouse provide Excite@Home with financial content and research tools including real time stock quotes, company profiles and historical charts across its high-speed cable Internet service, Optus@Home, its Excite portal, and OptusNet (powered by Excite).
In return, Excite will promote TD Waterhouse throughout its sites and financial pages, increasing the firm’s brand awareness in the Australian marketplace.
“The alliance we have established with TD Waterhouse will result in a significant enhancement to the finance channels on Optus@Home, Excite and OptusNet,” said Excite@Home Australia’s chief executive officer Chris Chapman. “More and more users want the latest financial information at the click of a button whether they are at home or at work. Our alliance with TD Waterhouse is a step forward in giving our users this timely and relevant information when and where they want it,” he said.
TD Waterhouse, which was recently voted “Online Broker of the Year 2000” by yourbroker.com.au, and “Investor’s Choice Online Broker of the Year 2000” by Personal Investor magazine, said the deal would enhance the quality of the financial content available to Excite users.
“The online exposure we will gain from this alliance will help us further build our profile in the marketplace and drive new business,” said the senior marketing manager of TD Waterhouse Peter Duvall. “The alliance represents a win-win situation for TD Waterhouse and Excite@Home – and for the online consumer.”
Today’s announcement follows recent wins by Excite@Home, which recently formed major content agreements with ninemsn and an Olympics multicasting deal with Channel Seven.
