1&1 Online Dialog has concluded a cooperative agreement
with Deutsche Messe AG for the advertising marketing of the online offering
for the CeBIT 99 IT trade show.
1&1 will be marketing banners for
CeBIT 99, to be held March 18 through March 24,1999. Last year, CeBIT 98
recorded 4.9 million page impressions from 134 countries. This year an even
greater response is expected.
“The cooperative agreement with Deutsche Messe AG in Hanover is an
important step in developing our position in the German online advertising
market,” said Michael Kleindl, president of 1&1 Online Dialog.
“It offers optimal enhancement of our product portfolios internationally
and targets groups with an event orientation.”
The Internet is already the pivotal advertising medium for IT and the
computer industry; and CeBIT is the major fair worldwide. “Linking the two
offerings provides an ideal platform for our advertising clients. Clients
from major corporations have already signed up,” continued Kleindl.
1&1, with its Internet advertising network 1&1 AdLINK, already records 35
million page impressions monthly.
“. . .On the basis of its long-term online experience and specialization,
1&1 was an appropriate partner for us,” said Jorg Schomburg, the executive
responsible at Deutsche Messe AG Hanover. “Quality and technical savvy were
important decision criteria.”
With organizations like SAT.1, PC-WELT, PC-Shopping, Crawler and
Wallstreet-Online within 1&1 AdLINK’s advertising network, its advertising
clients have a whole range of options. Globalization means placement in the
US, Austria, Spain, Italy, England and France.
Similar cooperative agreements granting 1&1 exclusive coverage and German
marketing rights have been concluded recently with publications including
The Times, Reuters Sportsweb and Le Figaro.
