Die 32-Bit Core-Architektur und das integrale Sicherheitskonzept der “88er-Familie” sollen es ermvglichen, auf einer Multi-Applikationskarte verschiedenste Services wie elektronischen Zahlungsverkehr und sicheren Zugang zu PC-Netzwerken oder zu GSM- und UMTS-Diensten zu kombinieren.
