Online software firm Hypernix this week released Gooey, an online chat tool designed to allow surfers to communicate with others who are browsing the same site that they are.

The company said that chat sessions can begin from within any site on the Web, and are
not confined to predefined chat rooms.

“It will change the way
people surf the Web and communicate online by
enabling communities to form naturally, without
telling you when and where to chat,” said Shai Adler,
Co-CEO of Hypernix.

Gooey is a Windows compatible application that is available via free download. The company said it will provide privacy to users who sign up for the service in its privacy statement.
