Hoover, AOL Team Up for Special Promotion

Company information resource Hoover’s Online announced today that it joined with America Online to offer AOL members two weeks of unrestricted access to all free and premium areas of Hoover’s Online.


The promotion, which began July 20 and runs to August 3, will give AOL members access to Hoover’s Online without requiring registration, credit card information or user names and passwords.


AOL members will have access to Hoover’s Online features including Hoover’s Company Profiles, which provides information on more than 3,400 public, private and international companies, and custom searching for companies by industry, location, annual sales and/or company type. AOL members will for the first time also have access to real-time SEC documents from EDGAR Online, the firms said.


To publicize the offer to AOL members, Hoover’s said it will receive rotating placement for banners and buttons promoting the offer on prime AOL content areas, including the Personal Finance main page, which reportedly receives nearly 13 million page views per week.
