InfoSpace Named Fastest Growing Tech Firm in Northwest

Deloitte & Touche’s Technology & Communications Group Wednesday reported that Bellevue, Wash.-based InfoSpace is the fastest growing technology company in the Pacific Northwest, coming in second after number 1-ranked eBay Inc.

InfoSpace was awarded the ranking in Deloitte & Touche’s seventh annual Technology Fast 500. It was one of 18 Washington companies to make the list, which ranks the fastest growing technology companies based on average five-year percentage revenue growth (1996-2000). InfoSpace recorded a growth rate of 107,704 percent, according to the list. Kirkland, Wash.-based ImageX, with a growth rate of 64,116 percent, placed ninth on the list.

“The Northwest continues to be a leading technology center and well represented on the National Fast 500 list,” said Larry Hile, technology partner for Deloitte & Touche. “The 18 companies from Washington state have an average growth of 14,566 percent, which is more than double the national average of 6,184 percent.
