  • Broadcast.com (NASDAQ:BCST) shares rise again on an upgrade by Morgan Stanley Dean Witter to “outperform.” We believe the Clinton video raised BCST’s profile on the Street as a streaming provider. More than 1 million people visited Broadcast.com to view the video or see parts of it. BCST is up more than 30% the past two days.

  • CDnow (NASDAQ:CDNW) reports its music sales affiliate program reaches 100,000 members which receive cash, discounts and specials. CDnow calls it more than an affiliate program, a “community.” we think that possibility could foreshadow the upside for CDnow as it seeks to expand its thin margin retail sales effort. Recall it recently added custom CDs that let users select their own songs.

  • Netscape (NASDAQ:NSCP) takes aim at providing info and resources to women business owners, which account for 1 in 3 of businesses in the U.S. To meet that, Netscape Netcenter plans to feature Women.com content. Separate studies show that about half of Web users are women, challenging the myth of the old male-centric medium of yesteryore.
