Mediapassage.com and Broadcastspots.com have announced a merger of their two companies.

The announcement was made jointly by Gilbert Scherer, Chairman and CEO of Mediapassage.com and Jeffrey Trumper, President and CEO of Broadcastspots.com.

Seattle’s Mediapassage.com is an infrastructure e-services provider for end-to-end processing of ad media Transactions. Since its inception in 1997, the company has processed over $700 million dollars in over 250,000 newspaper and magazine transactions for clients such as McCann Erickson, Publicis, Young & Rubicam, Zenith Media, and others.

Broadcastspots.com, headquartered outside of Chicago, was the first company to facilitate the real-time purchase of broadcast media on the Internet

According to company predictions, the new entity will execute (plan, place, bill and pay) over $500 million in U.S. media during 2000.

The new entity will have its headquarters in Seattle with offices in New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, Salt Lake City, Albuquerque, Birmingham, AL, and London. Jeffrey Trumper will be the President of broadcastspots.com, a wholly owned subsidiary of MediaPassage.com, Inc. whose Chairman and CEO will remain Gilbert Scherer.
