  • Go2Net (NASDAQ:GNET) gets a “buy” tout from ING with a price target of $100. GNET shares gain 27% to $84.875 per share on the news. GNET was one of my picks for 1999 made back at the start of the year.
  • Lycos (NASDAQ:LCOS) board member David Wetherell resigns in protest of the proposed terms of the USA Network-Lycos merger. LCOS shares have fallen dramatically since that deal was announced, but rebounded today, up 14.75% to $96.25 per share. Before the deal was announced LCOS traded north of $120 per share.
  • 24/7 Media (NASDAQ:TFSM) rises in part on its exposure at a Web conference in San Francisco highlighting Silicon Alley firms. On a relative valuation basis I’m starting to like TFSM again vs. Doubleclick (NASDAQ:DCLK). While DCLK is the leader in my mind, 24/7 is a player to be reckon with in the ad network space.
