Critics of Internet IPOs say they pop and drop. Well, not quite. And fans
of those who didn’t get in at the IPO price should take note: IPODEX shows
that this group is up 120% from after-IPO lows.

This basket ended April 8
20% off all-time highs with MarketWatch (NASDAQ:MKTWnews) off the most from
highs, down 38%.

Since March 25 these stocks posted 18% gains led by
WebTrends (NASDAQ:WEBTnews) with a 60% rocketship.

Moves behind the moves:

  • WebTrends Enterprise Suite is named as nominee for awards from
    Network Computing magazine.
  • Prodigy (NASDAQ:PRGYnews) announces a new service for Spanish-speaking
Net users. Says that Spanish speakers buy computers at twice the rate of
English speakers. I believe this market may be getting ripe for such a
service and applaud Prodigy’s efforts. No surprise though given its Mexican
    majority ownership.
  • Healtheon (NASDAQ:HLTHnews) signs Tektronix (NYSE:TEKnews) , a healthcare
provider with 8,000 employees in the U.S. and in 26 countries, to use
    Healtheon’s Web-based benefits management service.
