  • CMGI (NASDAQ:CMGI) announces a 2-for-1 stock split with holders of record May 13, 1999 getting another share. CMGI shares outstanding pro forma will be 93.4 million.
  • RealNetworks (NASDAQ:RNWK) updates the guide side of its business with the RealGuide. I’ve always believed this is the heart of Real’s business. In fact it should be the home page but it still is not. Service wins over software. Networks outlast technology. Real seems to have the best of both worlds: software and network. RNWK shares close up 5% to $121 today.
  • 24/7 (NASDAQ:TFSM) and NBC team up to make Internet and TV ads together in a 3-year agreement. NBC also buys a small undisclosed position in TFSM. The deal benefits 24/7 in reach on the TV platform if it can get some branding as part of this. A mixed bag is this – does NBC owning part of TFSM now take it out of the wider pool of acquisitions.
