Redmond-based iASP vJungle and Office Depot recently teamed up for the enhancement of Office Depot’s online Business Services section. Seattle.internet.com has also learned that Office Depot has recently made a strategic investment in vJungle.
As regard the Office Depot – Vjungle co-branded site, Office Depot has already incorporated vJungle’s OpenEX platform into its www.officedepot.com website under “Managing Money” and “Managing Your Office”.
The OpenEX platform provides customers an integrated set of critical web-based services ranging from instant “flash” messaging to file sharing and storage. A bookkeeping service uses vJungle’s Enter Data Once technology, which eliminates the need for duplicate entry of bills or invoices.
In an exclusive interview with seattle.internet.com yesterday afternoon, vJungle CEO Deepak Amin mentioned that his company has also recently introduced online printing, online payroll and domain registration via Network Solutions to its platform.
According to Amin, the Office Depot – Vjungle co-branded site went live last week, and has the complete look and feel of Office Depot. “It’s all about providing a consistent, unified and integrated experience,” says Amin.
According to Office Depot’s Senior VP of E-commerce Monica Luechtefeld, it wasn’t just the high level of functionality of vJungle’s OpenEX that caught Office Depot’s attention, but also its dependable security and ease-of-use.
Amin is excited about the impact his company’s platform is already having on the small-to-medium business arena. “Our OpenEX platform provides partners with a foundation of comprehensive, integrated business services and applications that improve efficiency and increase the competitive edge for customers worldwide.”
