Lucent Technologies announced it will
sponsor the International
Conference and Exhibition for Organizational Development (ICOD), a forum
for the worlds of e-commerce, government and academia, being held in
Bahrain this week.

Former US President George Bush is the keynote speaker at ICOD, which will
be held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman
Al-Khalifa, Prime Minister of Bahrain, and chaired by His Excellency
Abdulnabi Al Shoala, Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

The event was established to influence how organizations will think, adapt
and develop in the future. More than 1,000 senior figures from government,
business and the academic world are expected to attend.

Fernand Hollevoet, Regional Director for Lucents Middle East and Africa
(MEA) region said ICOD comes at just the right time to offer senior
decision makers from both private and public sectors an appropriate forum
at which to debate issues of global significance against a backdrop of
continuing change.
