Media Metrix, Inc., which measures
Internet audiences for Web sites, Wednesday released the top digital
media/Web properties and Web site rankings for March.

Top sites for combined personal/business use were AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, Go.com,
Geocities, Netscape, Excite, Microsoft, Lycos, and Angelfire.com.

The number of unique visitors to sports- and travel-related Web sites
increased significantly from February to March. While increases among
sports sites corresponded with the kickoff of the Major League Baseball
season, the start of the NBA season and March Madness, the spring vacation season
sparked the rise in traffic to travel sites.

Media Metrix provides monthly, weekly, and real-time data collection and
reporting to advertising agencies, media companies, e-commerce marketers,
financial institutions and technology companies.
