Microsoft Planning Windows Phone 7 Mac Sync

While it had been widely assumed that Microsoft would offer some degree of compatibility for Mac users with its Windows Phone 7 mobile operating system, it hadn’t been confirmed. Until now.

The software giant is now confirming that it will, indeed, allow users to sync “select” content between Windows Phone 7 and Macs, though the extent of the compatibility remains unclear. Enterprise Mobile Today reports on Microsoft’s bridge from Windows Phone 7 to the Mac.


Microsoft has confirmed its plans to sync “select” content between Windows Phone 7 devices and Macs, although the company has not said what that content will be yet.

“Later in 2010, Microsoft will make a public beta available of a tool that allows Windows Phone 7 to sync select content with Mac computers,” a Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) spokesperson said on Wednesday in a brief emailed statement.
