Movilpage to Acquire Wireless Broadband in Argentina

Movilpage Communications, Inc. announced Friday it has entered into an
agreement to acquire 90 percent of an Argentine company holding a nationwide 38 Ghz
broadband wireless license in Argentina.

The acquisition will allow Movilpage to become a fixed wireless broadband
access provider in one of the largest international markets in the world. The
license allows for the provision of broadband services such as high-speed
internet access, data networking, multimedia and video conferencing.

The company’s initial service area covers Buenos Aires and the five largest
cities which account for well over 18 million inhabitants or approximately
half of the national population.

These cities represent the country’s highest
concentration of corporate, industrial and high-volume residential
telecommunications customers.

“This acquisition will allow the company the opportunity to offer broadband
wireless services to one of the most dynamic and promising countries in the
emerging markets. Argentina is one of the fastest-growing data services
markets in Latin America, and with telecom deregulation taking place,
Movilpage is now in an ideal position to offer voice telephony services in
the future,” Stanley J. Koziol, president & CEO of Movilpage Communications.
