MultiEmedia Accepts Computershare Option

Global technology firm Coumputershare has the option to acquire 10 per
cent of Web and workflow solutions provider MultiEmedia, after shareholders gave the
deal a green light.

Under terms of the agreement, Computershare can exercise the option at
AUS$0.50 (US$0.30) per share at any time within 12 months, which if fully
exercised would amount to over 37 million individual shares.

According to a company statement, the deal offers MultiEmedia the
opportunity to capitalise on the potential of the Internet and e-commerce
applications through Computershare’s technology and Web development
resources.

The two companies have already formed a relationship in which they act
as preferred global partners for possible development in financial markets
outside Australia.

The announcement follows last week’s finalisation of the agreement
between Deloitte Consulting and MultiEmedia, which will see the two develop
an index tracking system for fund managers.
