Netscape.com Unveils New Look

Netscape.com opened its virtual doors Wednesday with a new look intended to
maximize the online experience.

The redesign of the site is an attempt to provide users with easy access
to a complete package of Web applications, content and features, according
to Jim Martin, senior vice president and general manager of Netscape.

“The new layout allows users to quickly maneuver throughout the site
through the strategic placement of its six most heavily trafficked areas,”
said Martin. “By drawing from its commitment to improve and innovate its products, Netscape
has targeted users who value the ease and convenience of using the Internet
as a tool throughout the course of the day.”

As an added bonus, the company is offering a free download of the final
version of its Beta browser, Netscape 6 PR3. The product is available in
both English and Japanese versions and boasts new features, including added
functionality and greater stability as well as security and customization
features.

Martin noted that the redesigned site offers such enhancements as simple
navigation, quick and easy access to Netscape Web applications, interactive
site features, multi-tiered content and a seamless online experience.

“We are providing a more productive way for professionals to manage their
increasingly converging work and personal lives with online tools tailored
for their needs,” he said.
