Oregon to Showcase Start-Ups

Sep 25, 2000

Sixteen of Oregon’s top up-and-coming companies will get the unique opportunity to present their businesses to a targeted audience of investors at Venture Oregon

The annual event, which will take place on October 3rd, attracts venture capitalists and private investors from along the entire West Coast.

This year’s event will feature 16 of the top investment prospects Oregon has to offer. Presenting companies were selected from a record number of applicants by a panel of investment experts, ensuring that each chosen company has the potential to be an outstanding investment opportunity.

The 1999 Venture Oregon conference was a resounding success. Last years 15 presenting companies have collectively raised more than $200 million in venture capital since the event.

“This is the best opportunity available for Oregon companies to get visibility in front of a sophisticated, national investor audience that can help grow the future of these businesses,” said Les Fahey, chair of Venture Oregon and a partner with KPMG Peat Marwick LLP. “Every venture capitalist in the country should take a look at what these unique companies have to offer.”
