Singapore’s Pacific Internet is offering a PC, printer and Internet access package for all students in Singapore.

The company said that offers, which are on from tomorrow until August 21, are also available to the company’s existing student subscribers.

The latest initiative comes just three weeks after Pacific Internet (PacNet) fired a salvo in the Singapore ISP market by announcing the island’s first free PC scheme with Neat Technology.

“We pioneered the free PC concept in Singapore three weeks ago. With this new scheme, we are starting to target niche markets and upping the ante for the competition,” said Nicholas Lee, PacNet’s CEO.

In the latest offer, Pacific Internet is giving students a Compaq Presario PC, Lexmark printer and 36 months of Internet access at 13 hours for a monthly installment of S$59 (US$35).

PacNet is listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange in the United States.
