Plesman Communications Inc. announced plans to launch e-Business Journal, a monthly printed publication intended to offer solutions for the digital economy.
e-Business Journal is scheduled to start its monthly publishing
schedule in January 1999.
“Electronic commerce is revolutionizing the way we conduct business. The
technology is changing daily,” said Paul Plesman, president of Plesman
Communications. “The odd supplement or feature report isn’t enough to keep
businesses informed about these
changes or excited about the possibilities of electronic commerce. We’re
the first publishers to produce a dedicated, monthly publication.”
According to Forrester Research Reports in the U.S., Internet commerce
is predicted to reach C$500 billion by 2002 with the greatest gains
occurring in business-to-business e-commerce. Some experts estimate this
figure could even reach the trillion dollar mark.
The publication will focus on trends, news, products and services in
electronic business development and has an initial projected circulation
of 20,000 copies. The company said it will market the journal to corporate
management, marketing & sales management, e-commerce solution providers,
Internet service/access providers, advertising agencies and e-business
solution developers.
Through its IT End User Media Group, Plesman Communications Inc.
publishes Computing Canada, Communications & Networking, Direction
informatique, Technology in Government and InfoSystems Executive. The IT
Channel/e-Business Media Group includes the new e-Business Journal, as
well as Computer Dealer News, Direction informatique (Le Monde des
Revendeurs/Reseller’s World), the Source Guides and Resellers’ Choice
Awards supplement.
