Plexus Ships ImageFIRST Office 3.0

Jan 15, 1998

Plexus, a division of Sunnyvale, CA-based
BancTec, is now shipping ImageFIRST Office (IFO) 3.0, a workflow-enabled
document repository.

An open, scalable solution, IFO 3.0 offers rapid application deployment,
immediate usability, and customizing features.

“IFO’s rapid deployment capabilities provide our customers with an
out-of-the-box solution that greatly reduces their mean time to payback and
at the same time provides the robust production capabilities for which
Plexus’ products are renowned,” said Rich Hemmerling, VP of Engineering at
Plexus.

Some of the features of IFO 3.0 are an intuitive GUI, an optional optical
subsystem for document storage and retrieval, a cabinet/folder/document
repository, multi-vendor scanner support, fax in/out, email, and
industrial-strength RDBMS support.

It can be adapted to accommodate vertical industry and local language
requirements, and users may add additional features using the Visual Basic
client application as a model.

IFO 3.0’s client/server architecture needs Windows NT or UNIX servers, and
Windows 95 or NT clients.
