Electronic business provider Payment Services Interactive Gateway Inc. (PSiGate), has introduced a suite of e-commerce solutions to help Canadian companies conduct Internet retailing.
By collaborating with Texas-based ClearCommerce Corp. to offer back-end transaction processing services and fraud protection, the PSiGate offering is to simplify starting and running a business on the Web.
PSiGate’s e-commerce solution enables Canadian merchants to convert sales to Canadian
currency and sales tax structures, and integrate with the Canadian banking community. PSiGate worked with ClearCommerce to develop an e-commerce platform based on the Canadian business model.
By licensing the ClearCommerce Engine, PSiGate’s transaction processing capabilities include online credit card authorization, online order and payment processing, tax and shipping charge calculations, and
online order tracking and status. This solution provides APIs to integrate data into a company’s legacy systems.
ClearCommerce also brings fraud protection to the PSiGate solution through a series of checks automatically conducted when processing online orders.
PSiGate communicates directly with major Canadian and U.S. credit card processors. Funds can be deposited into any Canadian bank in Canadian or U.S. currencies over dedicated lease lines. By early next year, over 300 American banks will be added to the network.
