Listen up sports fans: ESPN Internet Ventures announced
today the debut of its newly designed ESPN.com sports Web site.

ESPN said the new design allows for more integrated and seamless programming with other ESPN Network services such as the official sites of the NFL, NBA and NASCAR.

Other new features being billed are faster page loads, an online merchandise store, a fantasy game site, coverage of extreme sports, and live television and radio listings for ESPN broadcasts.

The firm also announced partnerships with MountainZone.com, Tennis Week, SoccerTimes and U.S. College Hockey Online under which each site will link to ESPN.com. No financial specifics were disclosed.

“We have built a network, anchored by ESPN.com, that is cleaner and easier to
navigate, giving fans faster access to our expanded sports coverage,” said Tom Phillips, President of ESPN Internet Ventures. “With its unique components and design, the ESPN Network brings its million of visitors an experience that can’t be duplicated. This is ESPN on the Internet.”
