Intel (NASDAQ:INTC) sells 425,000 shares of USWeb (NASDAQ:USWB) the chip maker held, valued at about $9.8 million. While the market reacts unfavorably to USWB shares today, down slightly at -1.66% to $25 7/8 per share.
CDNow (NASDAQ:CDNW) shares to the tune of $15 million are acquired by Mexican financier Grupo Carso SA de CV. The group is a majority owner of Prodigy (NASDAQ:PRGY) although says it plans nothing between the two. The stake represents 5.3% of CDNW.
