Social networking tools are sprouting up rapidly in the enterprise. Blogs and wiki are already old hat and newer applications like microblogging and other real-time chat services are proving popular. But while the goal might be to create a kind of “Facebook for the enterprise” corporate customers require a different level of security and manageability than consumer social networks provide. Enter companies like Socialtext, Yammer and Socialcast, with products specifically designed with enterprise users in mind. eCRM Guide reports on the latest move by Socialtext.
Socialtext has announced an aggressive marketing move aimed at competitor Yammer.
Today, Socialtext announced a free migration service designed to move companies with users of the Yammer microblogging tool to a discounted version of Socialtext.
