The Federal Government’s export and investment body Austrade has recognised the
achievements of five Australian software companies in an inaugural ceremony
sponsored by the agency.

Three Sydney-based software developers won DesignWorld awards,
while a Wollongong firm and Adelaide-based Disc Australasia were also
winners.

Major winners were IQMS for its process management software iKnow,
Presence Online for its Web content integration solution Aptrix, and
Streamlink for its product e-Procure.

Four year-old Presence Online has now grown to 45 staff. Its content
management system, Aptrix, has been incorporated into the company’s
projects for high-profile clients such as AXA Australia, the Goodman
Fielder corporate site and AMP, for whom Presence Online has developed all
internal and external sites.

The awards are set to become an annual event with a growing number of
nominations expected each year. Assessment criteria covers three key areas
in which the company must excel – market potential, performance and
innovation.
