The sixth Seattle Schmoozefest will be taking place this evening at ARO Space beginning @ 7:30pm.

The monthly networking event (first Thursday of every month) founded by Staenberg Venture Partners Managing Partner Jon Staenberg, is expected to attract a large crowd of 150-200 people.

The idea for the Seattle Schmoozefest was the result of Staenberg’s regular Seattle – SF commute. “My fund bridges Seattle and SF… so I am in the Bay Area almost every week. When I was there I noticed that each night there were three to four networking events, and it was at these places that real business got done. I thought, if Seattle is going to be a major venture center, having networking events is an integral part of the maturation process,” says Staenberg.

In addition to the event’s regular host Staenberg Venture Partners, the event will also be co-hosted this time by two SF-based internet startups: Cafepress.com, a company that helps businesses sell their community online and Ecandy.com an e-commerce site for you guessed it…candy.

Seattle.internet.com, of course, will be on the scene.
