TimeVision Inc. Tuesday rolled out French and German versions of
OrgPublisher
for Intranets, the charting software that allows firms to transform
enterprise resource planning data into interactive management reports via a
browser.

International users of OrgPublisher say having multilingual versions of the
software offers distinct advantages. SAP
AG
, a leading enterprise resource planning vendor headquartered in
Walldorf, Germany, has used the English version of OrgPublisher since 1999,
and charts more than 23,000 employees in 44 countries.

OrgPublisher is Open Database Connectivity-compliant, allowing reports and
org charts to be generated from data stored in virtually any database,
including Microsoft Access, Oracle, SAP and SQL Server. Reports and
organizational charts can be viewed from a Web browser such as Microsoft
Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, a Netscape plug-in or an ActiveX
plug-in. A trial version of the product is free and may be downloaded here.

“Until we discovered OrgPublisher, every department manager created
organizational charts using different tools,” said Heinz
Wuerth, program director with SAP. “Now, all our SAP internal org charts are
consistent, accurate and created automatically from
our employee database. Having a German version of OrgPublisher is a great
benefit for employees and customers who prefer the
choice of creating org charts in German, English or both.”

Pricing is based on the number of persons charted, starting at a list price
of $1,000 for 100 persons charted. Individual quotes are
available for charting needs beyond 20,000 persons charted. OrgPublisher’s
Personal Edition, which is for smaller companies
wanting to manually create org charts is available for $450.
