    NEW YORK, Aug. 30–Credit Suisse Group announced that they have
    signed a definitive agreement for the combination of Donaldson, Lufkin &
    Jenrette
    and Credit Suisse First Boston, a
    subsidiary of the Credit Suisse Group. The $11.5 billion transaction
    creates one of the world’s most powerful investment banking firms and is
    expected to close in October of 2000. Under the terms of the transaction,
    DLJ public shareholders will receive $90
    in cash for each share, while majority owner of DLJ, AXA
    Financial
    , will receive $5.75 billion in Credit Suisse
    Group stock and $2.39 billion in cash.

    RENO, Aug. 30–iGo Corporation , a
    business-to-business provider of mobile and wireless accessories via
    electronic commerce announced the acquisition of Xtend Micro
    Products
    , a provider of power products and accessories for the portable
    computer market. This acquisition not only expands iGo’s product offering but also positions iGo
    as a compelling one stop solution for OEM’s. iGo announced that it paid
    $2,500,000 in cash and issued 2,268,451 shares of iGo Common Stock for
    substantially all of the assets of Xtend.

    entered into a Letter of Intent to acquire privately-held, Chicago-based

    Internet, announced it has acquired key technology assets and intellectual
    properties from ICE (Integrated Computing Engines), a provider of
    acceleration solutions for streaming media from the desktop. ICE acceleration technology increases the
    speed and quality of the compression process for streaming media content,
    aiding Media 100’s creation and
    delivery of video on the Internet, DVD and CD-ROM. Terms of the asset

    announce that it has signed a Letter of Intent to acquire Certus Project
    Consulting
    , a management consulting company operating in the IT and
    telecommunication sectors of New Zealand and Australia. The consulting
    methodologies and frameworks that Certus brings to Brocker have tremendous global
    application which Brocker plans to roll out around the world, actively
    looking to expand its Professional Services practice in the United States,
    Canada and the United Kingdom. The purchase price will be based on the
    lesser of 1.5 times revenues or 15 times net profit before tax up to a

    kids. ePiggybank.com is a financial
    and educational website that instructs kids on a “learn by doing” basis to
    become financially literate so that they will be intelligent savers,
    investors and spenders as they grow up. The acquisition is the first step
    in a complete change of stereoscape’s business plan under the
    direction of new CEO in which the company is changing its business plan to
    become a holding company. The transaction includes a payment of 500,000
    stereoscape.com shares in addition to options to purchase 200,000 shares of
    stereoscape.com common stock at $1.00 per share.
