Upcoming IPOs: Sequoia Software and Emerald Solutions

The unsure market condition is testing, (or is it hazing) IPO investors as
more companies are bailing out of the IPO market. Techies, Linuxcare, and
Zefer have withdrew their IPOs. What was once a crowded agenda is now
trimmed down to the bone.

So, what is coming up?

Sequoia Software’s XML Portal Server (XPS) lets Sequoia’s customers create
interactive information environments so employees, customers, suppliers and
strategic partners can share and update information in real-time. XML
Portal Server is based on the eXtensible Markup Language (XML), which
eliminates the need to re-key data when used by more than one application.
Yes, XML is hot (at least for now).

Sequoia Software recently entered into a partnership with Phyve. They plan
to provide healthcare institutions with the ability to get lab reports,
insurance information, radiology reports, physician and transcriptions from
various formats and systems, while providing Internet security and
confidentiality of patient information.

Sequoia, founded in 1992, is headquartered in Columbia, Maryland. Sequoia’s
