[Toronto, CANADA] Wysdom Inc., a global wireless Internet applications provider, and TELUS have partnered to provide Canadian businesses with a suite of Internet services to take advantage of wireless technologies.

This partnership will enable Canadian businesses to upgrade existing Web sites for wireless access and establish new wireless-oriented content and services for their customers.

By using Wysdom’s wireless expertise, TELUS will provide business customers with solutions that combine wireless Internet applications, support and network services.

TELUS provides customers with wireless communications services, including wireless microbrowser and dial-up services, wired network and access services, Web hosting and tools, and e-commerce functionality. Wysdom offers wireless solutions for businesses seeking to communicate with, deliver content to, and engage in transactions with mobile Internet users, including subscribers to TELUS Mobility’s i-Web Microbrowser service.

TELUS i-Web Microbrowser service provides customers with Web-compatible digital phone access to the Internet through a wireless portal. This portal features content provided by MyBC.com, Alberta.com and myTO.com portals.

With the purchase of QuibecTel and an offer to acquire wireless service provider Clearnet Communications Inc. by the end of this month, TELUS is strengthening its position as a national service provider.

Privately-held Wysdom Inc. provides the infrastructure for dot-coms and Internet content providers to communicate with mobile customers around the world.
