The UK’s first free ISP
The X-Stream Network has signed aucland.co.uk
as its online auction partner.
The two comanies will carry out
extensive joint promotions on each other’s sites.
To kick-off the partnership, Aucland and X-Stream are auctioning
a brand new Audi TT over the next two weeks. Bidding starts at
just £1 ($1.62), and the car is expected to sell for
well below its usual price.
Despite fierce competition, Aucland says it aims to become Europe’s
leading online auction site. It was founded in July 1998, and
already has country-specific auction sites in France, the UK,
Italy and Spain.
Aucland differentiates itself from its rivals by adopting
strict rules which do not allow it to send unsolicited spam mail
to members, nor sell advertising space on the site. It offers
many personalisation options and runs a prompt-reply technical support
service.
The X-Stream Network also started in 1998, forming the UK’s first
free Internet access service, which has grown to over 500,000
registered subscribers worldwide. It is the UK’s third largest
ISP portal.
X-Stream runs a Unified Messaging service at
mail.x-stream.co.uk/,
a Games Network at
www.x-stream.gamesnetwork.com
a>,
and has ISPs in Norway, Sweden and Denmark.
