ACNielsen Launches International Unit

Stamford, Conn.-based ACNielsen Corp.
said it is forming a new
operating unit, ACNielsen Media International, to strengthen its leadership in
international media measurement, including Internet use.

The new unit will combine into one global organization the company’s long-
established international broadcast and print capabilities, including
television audience measurement, advertising expenditure measurement,
readership and other media research services.

“We are committed to increasing our media measurement services
around the world and to capitalizing on the opportunities created by new
cable, satellite and Internet services,” said Nicholas L. Trivisonno,
chairman and chief executive officer of
ACNielsen.

Steven Yung, currently managing director of ACNielsen North Asia, has been
named president of ACNielsen Media International, reporting to Michael P.
Connors, vice chairman of ACNielsen.
