Ad Network of Music, Entertainment Sites Established

Transit Gloria Media, a St. Paul,
MN-based interactive services company, said it is launching The Transit Gloria
Network
, which it called “a META-Advertising Syndicate for Cutting-Edge
Music and Entertainment Web Sites.”

The network was formed to provide a means for smaller “grassroots” sites to
generate revenue from online advertising, the company said. TGN said it
targets a music consumer niche in contrast to other ad networks that consist
of several site categories and sub categories.

“I’ve been involved in the interactive advertising business as a media buyer
and marketer since it started, and noticed that smaller, edgier indie music
sites were grossly underrepresented when it came to legitimate sales of
advertising,” said Michael Leggs, former interactive media planner for legal
publishing giant West Group, and current president of Transit Gloria Media.

Transit Gloria Network’s current affiliate roster includes independent sites
such as The Big Takeover, The Stiff Little Fingers Official Web Site,
Indisonic, Ink Blot Magazine, TOAST Magazine, Aversion.com, Beats E-zine,
Electronic Sonic Press, and six web radio stations under the SixtiesRadio.com
umbrella. Advertising models supported are: banners, content sponsorship and
Web radio spots.

“Our network of sites offers
massive reach within a unique niche of the Web population. The visitors to
our network sites are the technically savvy, trend-setting, active online
consumers,” Leggs said.

Transit Gloria Media was founded in 1997 as a Web design firm under the
SurrealEstate.com name. The firm’s service offerings have since expanded to
include interactive ad sales and management services for independent
publishers of music and entertainment sites.
