AOL Names Veep for Interactive Sales

Jul 9, 1998

America Online Inc. named Paul Corvino as vice president and general manager, interactive sales, reporting to Myer Berlow, senior vice president, interactive marketing.

Corvino joins the interactive marketing department from Cablevision Systems,
where he served as corporate director of sales. He was previously a managing
director of advertising sales at the New York Times.

At America Online, he will head up sales efforts supporting the company’s
range of interactive brands, including the flagship AOL service, CompuServe,
AOL.com, AOL Instant Messenger, AOL NetFind and ICQ.

“Paul Corvino brings
a proven track record of successful sales management in leading media
companies at a critical period in the development of AOL’s multi-brand
strategy,” said Bob Pittman, President and Chief Operating Officer. “We’ll depend on his skills in creating innovative sales strategies
and packages as we continue to grow our non-subscription revenues, work to
build an increasingly diverse ad base behind our brands and develop innovative
new ways to utilize and package marketing opportunities across those brands
that meet our customers’ needs.”
