The interesting quote of the week comes from a report on The Netly News about the growing use of spam by mainstream marketers.
An unnamed spokesperson from a reputable online magazine that recently sent
out unsolicited ads with both the recipient list and the sender’s address
concealed was quoted as saying, “I’m a little ashamed to admit that I’ve
stopped putting my actual reply-to address on the spams because it’s just too
damn depressing dealing with all the
hate mail, even from my highly targeted list. I think the collective blood
pressure
of the Internet would go down significantly if people just learned how to use
their delete key without simultaneously getting their shorts in a bunch.”
