Naperville, IL-based Riverwalk Software
launched a new service geared to marketing professionals at software,
hardware and Internet firms.
Called MediaFlash-Computer/I
nternet Edition, the service provides subscribers
with a monthly report detailing editorial, advertising and calendar
information for 20 leading computer publications.
MediaFlash is the first in a series of “narrow-push” services planned by
Riverwalk in 1998. “This report gives subscribers an easy and thorough way to
keep on top of PR and advertising opportunities in leading weekly and monthly
publications. Rather than chase down this information one publication at a
time, MediaFlash is a unified report that arrives in the subscribers
mailbox by the 10th of each month,” said Tracy Wilson, director of
marketing for Riverwalk.
MediaFlash reports provide editorial calendar information four to six months
before actual publication, providing ample time for contact. The report also
includes a section highlighting changes in editor contacts, editorial
philosophy or change in ownership of a publication.
A 3-month subscription is $30; one year is $100 and includes a copy of
MediaContact, a database contact information for more than 100 computer
publication contact information.
