CoolSavings, Advo’s Super Coups Plan Local Site

Targeted direct mail marketing company Advo Inc. and Web coupon company CoolSavings said they will jointly test
market a co-branded local coupon Web site beginning April 1.

The partnership will be between CoolSavings and Advo’s Super Coups subsidiary,
which primarily serves the advertising needs of small neighborhood businesses.

A nationwide rollout is slated for mid-June after a two-month test in the
Boston area. The new site, which will be co-branded with both the Super Coups
and CoolSavings logos, will allow consumers to visit www.coolsavings.com to
download coupons from neighborhood merchants throughout the United States as
well as from CoolSavings’ extensive list of national retailers and e-commerce
merchants.

The agreement gives CoolSavings another local component to its Web site and
expands the exposure of Super Coups’ merchants to a large audience of online
shoppers, the companies said.

“The relationship with Super Coups provides CoolSavings with the opportunity
to tap into a successful neighborhood-level coop direct mail coupon
franchise,” said Steven M. Golden, chairman and CEO of coolsavings.com inc.

“This agreement gives Super Coups’ merchants a unique opportunity to market
their goods and services to CoolSavings’ growing base of over 2.5 million
registered members,” said Don McCombs, chief financial officer of Advo. “In
addition, CoolSavings’ patented targeting and tracking capabilities will
accurately measure, in real-time, the number of clips per offer as well as
provide a detailed profile of the clippers, which can then be used to help
tailor future offers.”

Under terms of the agreement, Super Coups’ neighborhood-oriented small
business clients will have the opportunity to post printable electronic
printed coupons on a custom-built Web site accessible from the CoolSavings Web
site homepage.
