America Online’s Digital City Inc. and Junglee Corp. launched the Digital City
Employment Classifieds, a job listing database (free to consumers) that will
help
match job-seekers and employers, and offer employers a place to post their own
help wanted ads.

Available on America Online at Keyword: “local employment” and on the Web
at digitalcity.com, Digital City’s Employment Classifieds also offers
information on employment in the top markets nationally.

“This alliance with Junglee allows Digital City to offer a terrific benefit to
millions of AOL members and Web users with the Internet’s most comprehensive
job listings database–one that is constantly updated and whose listings are
always fresh
because they are pulled directly from company Web sites,” said Paul
DeBenedictis, president of Digital City.

Junglee’s patent-pending virtual database technology (VDB) aggregates job
listings from the Web and other external data sources into a database of more
than 50,000 active job listings posted by more than 400 of the nation’s top
companies. This is done automatically, requiring no work from the employer.

Searches can be performed by industry, geographic location, occupation,
company name and keyword.

“Junglee and Digital City are taking online employment classifieds to the next
level by incorporating an easy-to-use service with the world’s largest
database of current job listings,” said Ram Shriram, president and COO of
Junglee. “Participating companies aren’t required to do any work, so listing
jobs on AOL’s Digital City is an exciting new option for Human Resource
professionals.”

Digital City provides an array of interactive products in 38 cities and
delivers locally relevant news, community resources, entertainment and ads and
commerce.
