DoubleClick Selects AboveNet for Co-Location Services

DoubleClick Inc. signed an agreement
with San Jose, CA-based AboveNet Communications Inc. to co-locate its
Web servers at AboveNet’s Tysons Corner, VA and San Jose Internet Service
Exchanges.

“We were looking for a partner who could deliver a reliable and scalable
solution for co-location services. AboveNet showed us that they had the
business model and network intelligence to support our rigorous performance
requirements,” said Bob Linsky, vice president of MIS and operations at
DoubleClick. “We depend on AboveNet’s reliable connectivity to deliver our
customers the best advertising performance possible.”

Financial arrangements were not disclosed. AboveNet said its ISX facilities
co-locate both content providers and ISPs to deliver superior connectivity,
faster Internet performance and network reliability as a result of the
company’s global peering arrangements with more than 210 major ISP networks.

AboveNet also uses proprietary management tools that remotely monitor its
equipment, manage and track network usage and forecast capacity needs.
