DoubleClick Inc. on Monday
captured Lowestfare.com as a
“Select” partner, meaning that the Internet advertising giant will be the
sole ad sales representative for the travel site, which also joins the
company’s travel network.

The deal gives DoubleClick substantial banner inventory
for its travel network, and the prestige of snaring a brand name site.

“The addition of Lowestfare.com to DoubleClick’s Travel Network expands our
reach into this rapidly growing market and provides advertisers with an
enormous opportunity to easily target this audience,” said Jane Butler,
publisher, Travel Network.

“Nearly 35 million web users currently visit travel related sites and
expectations are that these numbers will continue to soar.”

Lowestfare.com is a provider of discount travel products and services to
leisure and business travelers.
