The post-merger Earthlink, which
increased its importance in the ISP space with its recent merger with rival
MindSpring, on Tuesday renewed its
relationship with 24/7 Media, tapping the firm to handle ad sales and
marketing duties for all of its Web sites.

The multi-year deal, financial details of which weren’t disclosed, calls
for 24/7 Media (TFSM)
to deploy a dedicated sales team, manage ad traffic, create promotions,
and provide other marketing services.

Earthlink (ELNK)
operates home pages for its subscribers, a search engine, and an
e-commerce “mall.” The deal also encompasses sites formerly run by MindSpring.

“Through our renewed relationship with EarthLink in the wake of its
recently completed merger with MindSpring, 24/7 Media can rightly say that
our services own the ISP space,” said Jay Friesel, executive vice president
of 24/7 Media.

“Best of all, the renewed relationship adds significant marketing
opportunities for our customers to reach a demographically rich audience —
and it greatly increases our reach across the Internet.”
