eBay Taps Broadbase to Help With Relationship Marketing

Auction giant eBay Tuesday said it has
inked a deal with Broadbase Software
for the data analysis company to help it target, acquire, and retain its
online customers.

Broadbase gathers customer data, looks at it, and uses the information to
craft marketing campaigns, improve online content and merchandizing, and
personalize customer interactions.

“EBay has become one of the finest brands on the Internet by placing a
premium on customer relationships,” says Mark Kremer, CEO of Broadbase. “We
are very proud that eBay selected Broadbase applications to take these
relationships to the next level.”

EBay is the leading auction site with about 7.7 million registered users
and over 3.5 million items listed for sale. Broadbase’s other customers
include ADP, Fidelity Investments, Insweb, Kodak, Mercata.com, Onvia.com, The Sharper Image and United Airlines.
