Phil Goldman, the technology leader who founded and was CEO of spam-free
e-mail provider Mailblocks, died the evening of Dec. 25. Cause of death has
not yet been determined. Goldman, who founded Los Altos, Calif.-based
Mailblocks in 2002, was also VP of advanced TV services of Microsoft, and
was a founder of WebTV Networks. He was 39.

Mailblocks will continue operating under the direction of Susan Bratton, VP
sales and marketing; Rich Landsman, VP engineering; and Phil Steffora, VP of
network operations.

“Phil was a revered leader,” said Bratton. “His approach to business was an
intelligent balance of foresight and risk-taking. Phil will be deeply
missed.” Goldman is survived by his wife Susan, two children, his parents
and two brothers.

International Sports and Media Group Inc. is walking a mile in Joe’s Garb
shoes, or at least promoting them, now that its wholly owned subsidiary, Pan
American Relations, has signed a one-year service contract to provide
corporate communications, marketing and public relations for Joe’s Garb,
Inc.

The company’s footwear is notable for its wild designs such as stylized red
flames, using the tagline, “Shoes for the not so average Joe.” Pan American
is a financial investor relations and corporate communications firm that
specializes in providing emerging companies with guidance in the financial
marketplace.

Yan Skwara, president and CEO of International Sports and Media, said, “We
are extremely pleased to be working with such a trend-setting company.”
